Niels Ferreira da Silva Uth
Owner & Manager, Patent Attorney, PhD
Niels has worked with patents on a professional level since 2006. He has five years of practical experience from Grundfos, one of the largest industrial companies in Denmark. In addition, he has worked as a patent attorney for several patent agencies.
Niels has a PhD in sports science (human physiology and biomechanics).
He gives advice on patenting inventions within the fields of i.a. mechanics, electronics, water treatment technology, sensor technology, software and medico technology.
Niels drafts patent applications, conducts novelty searches, provides surveillance of competitors, infringement assessments, freedom to operate analyses and strategic advice – including guidance on enforcement of rights or on opposition and invalidation cases.
Robin Medenwaldt
Patent Attorney, PhD
Robin has more than two decades of experience in international patent prosecution works with all aspects of patents.
He is a European Patent Attorney with substantial expertise in oral proceedings, oppositions and appeals
at the European Patent Office.
He is physicist with a Ph.D. in science and holds a Master Degree (LLM) in Intellectual Property Law and Management.
He is an experienced speaker and teacher as well as a certified coach, which he uses when facilitating creative R&D processes
in companies and guiding entrepreneurs through startup phases.
TROPA has entered a strategic collaboration with Robin Medenwaldt and his international company STRAIGHTLINE.
Britt Kempel
IPR administrator - MA LSP (English)
Britt has worked as an IPR administrator for Tropa since October 2014. She has past experience with intellectual property rights from a previous four-year position as an IPR coordinator for the IP firm Patrade.
With a linguistic degree in English (MA LSP) and French (BA), Britt has also taught classes in textual analysis and written communication at the Aarhus School of Business.
Britt handles several linguistic tasks e.g. translation and language revision of patent applications and other documents in Danish and English. In addition, she handles a number of tasks relating to the formal prosecution of patent, trademark and design applications; she sets and monitors all case related deadlines and coordinates with our clients, domestic and foreign patent authorities and our international contacts to ensure that all replies and documents are filed in due time. Britt is also responsible
for various administrative tasks.
Lone Charlotte Rothmann
IPR administrator - BA (English and German)
Lone has worked as an IPR administrator for Tropa since February 2022. She has past experience with intellectual property rights from a previous position.
Lone’s tasks include language revision of patent applications and other documents in Danish, German and English and a number of tasks relating to the formal prosecution of patent, trademark and design applications; she sets and monitors all case related deadlines and coordinates with our clients, domestic and foreign patent authorities and our international contacts to ensure that all replies and documents are filed in due time. Lone is also responsible for various administrative tasks.
Anja Torup Hansen
IPR-administrator, cand.ling.merc.
Anja has worked as an IPR administrator for Tropa since the autumn 2023. Prior to her employment at Tropa, she has worked as an IPR coordinator in another IP firm and at Aarhus University as a Secretariat Staff Member and Head of Secretariat
for a number of years.
Anja earned a linguistic degree in English (MA LSP) and French (BA).

Anh Nguyen Jensen
Administrative assistant
Anh started working for Tropa in November 2021.
Before joining Tropa, Anh has worked as accountant in for several American companies.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in accounting in the United States.
Anh's tasks include bookkeeping and invoicing. She handles annual fee payments and other renewals of patent, trademark, and design rights. She is also responsible for various administrative tasks such as managing calendar and deadlines, handling mails and e-mails, updating and maintaining customer databases and case information.
Frederik Engamo Uth
IPR Assistant
Frederik works primarily within the field of patents and utility models.
He identifies status of pending and registered patents and utility models.
He also conducts searching tasks in order to determine if it is possible to establish intellectual property rights, including patents and utility models in Denmark, the EU and the rest of the world. He also carries out competitor monitoring and performs several administrative tasks.
