Niels has worked with patents on a professional level since 2006. He has five years of practical experience from Grundfos, one of the largest industrial companies in Denmark. In addition, he has worked as a patent attorney for several patent agencies.

Niels has a PhD in sports science (human physiology and biomechanics).

He gives advice on patenting inventions within the fields of i.a. mechanics, electronics, water treatment technology, sensor technology, software and medico technology.

Henning Knak Poulsen

Senior Adviser, civil engineer

Henning has been working with patents since 1990, first as an employee of the Patent and Trademark Office and subsequently with several Danish patent agencies. Since then, he has worked for many years as in-house attorney in the patent department of Oticon. He has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property rights (IPR) including the preparation, processing and enforcement of patent applications, enforcement and valuation of rights.

Henning works within a broad field of mechanical technology and therefore covers most industry branches, including agrarian technology, vibration, sound and acoustics.

He gives advice on patenting inventions within the fields of i.a. mechanics, electronics, water treatment technology, sensor technology, software and medico technology.

Britt Kempel

IPR administrator - MA LSP (English)

Britt has worked as an IPR administrator for Tropa since October 2014. She has past experience with intellectual property rights from a previous four-year position as an IPR coordinator for the IP firm Patrade.

With a linguistic degree in English (MA LSP) and French (BA), Britt has also taught classes in textual analysis and written communication at the Aarhus School of Business.

Britt handles several linguistic tasks e.g. translation and language revision of patent applications and other documents in Danish and English. In addition, she handles a number of tasks relating to the formal prosecution of patent, trademark and design applications; she sets and monitors all case related deadlines and coordinates with our clients, domestic and foreign patent authorities and our international contacts to ensure that all replies and documents are filed in due time. Britt is also responsible
for various administrative tasks.

Marianne Kaae Hundewadt

Patent Attorney, MSc.

Marianne has worked with patents since 1992 in patent agencies and in several Danish companies including Dako, ALK- Abello and Dianova. She has experience within all aspects of intellectual property rights (IPR), including the establishment and enforcement of patent rights.

Marianne advises on IPR within the areas of chemistry, life science, health and medicine, drugs, molecular biology, biotechnology, medical technology , including flow cytometry, diagnosis, prognosis, stratification and treatment of disease such as cancer, FISH techno lodgings, antibody- and probe technology and pathology. Marianne further evaluates IPR and prosecutes patent applications within the areas of mechanics, materials science and process technology.

Maj Lau Rasmussen

IPR associate - B.Soc.Ed.

Maj has worked as an IPR administrator for Tropa since 2016.

Maj handles several tasks in relation to maintenance and development of Tropa’ design, trademark and patent portfolio. In addition, she handles a number of tasks relating to the formal prosecution of patent, trademark and design applications; she sets and monitors all case related deadlines and coordinates with our clients, domestic and foreign patent authorities and our international contacts to ensure that all replies and documents are filed in due time.

Maj is also responsible for various administrative tasks such as account management, bookkeeping, filing, updating case and customer database etc.

Amalie Engamo Uth

Legal Assistant

Amalie works primarily within the filed of copyright, marketing law, trademarks and design, however, Amalie has tasks within all areas of intellectual property law.

Amalie carries out analyses in order to verify likelihood for establishing intellectual property such as trademarks and design in Denmark, EU and in the rest of the world.

Amalie also handles infringement cases related to trademarks and design, the Marketing Act or copyright issues.

In addition, Amalie drafts and reviews contracts - especially contracts related to licensing, collaboration, distributor
and dealer agreements.
